Optimizing Exercise for Cardiac Patients: ABSMARI Hosts Workshop with Dr. Arunkumar

ABSMARI recently conducted an insightful workshop featuring Dr. Arunkumar J. A distinguished Senior Clinical Therapist, HOD, and Rehab Incharge at the Singapore Heart Foundation & Nursing Home, Singapore. As an ACSM-certified exercise physiologist, Dr. Arunkumar presented on the topic, "The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Effects of Physical Activity - Where Do We Stand?"

This webinar aimed to enhance our students' understanding of the significance and guidelines for exercise prescription, particularly for cardiac and severely debilitated ICU patients. Through this session, our future physiotherapists gained valuable knowledge on how to effectively incorporate physical activity into treatment plans for these vulnerable populations.
